The Triplett Model CTX1200 Network Tester can be used for network cabling project installation and maintenance, computer room detection and maintenance, and CCTV system installation.
DESCRIPTION
The Triplett Model CTX1200 Network Tester can be used for network cabling project installation and maintenance, computer room detection and maintenance, and CCTV system installation. It features a built-in TDR that tests for opens, shorts and length (1.2km max) on UTP, CAT 6e/5e, BNC and telephone line cable, combined network ping testing, port flashing, and IP address scan to quickly identify connected network port speed (10/100/ 1000M), and detect duplex mode (full or half). The built-in cable tracer can search and identify the correct UTP or BNC cable in a bundle and has a secondary code digital mode that decisively rejects noise and false signals to locate cables quickly and easily. An RJ45 cable TDR tests UTP cable status, length and attenuation with an advanced UTP cable test for cable sequence, type and connectivity, near-end, mid-end and far-end fault point of RJ45 cable plug. In addition an HD Coaxial video level meter can detect the TVI/CVI/AHD/CVBS signal peak value, SYNC value and burst value. The CTX1200 Includes cable tracer (2 AA batteries not included), AC adaptor/charger, 3.7V Li-on battery, BNC to alligator clip adaptor, RJ11 patch cable, RJ45 patch cable and tool bag.

FAQs
-
Q. How do you find the IP address of the network/device you are trying to connect to?
A. Use the "Ping" feature - This will list all the IP addresses on the network which you are connected to. (User manual section 5.2 ping and 5.3 IP search).
-
Q. What is a network testing probe?
A. A network testing probe is a specialized tool used in conjunction with a network cable tester to accurately identify and locate network cable faults and connectivity issues in data networks.
-
Q. What are the advantages of using a network testing probe for cable troubleshooting?
A. Using a network testing probe allows for faster and more precise identification of cable faults, reducing downtime and improving network reliability by facilitating efficient troubleshooting.
-
Q. Can a network testing probe work with all network cable testers?
A. Network testing probes are generally designed to be compatible with various network cable testers, but it is essential to ensure compatibility with the specific cable tester model.
-
Q. Can a network testing probe identify issues in both copper and fiber optic cables?
A. Typically, network testing probes are designed to work with copper cables. For fiber optic cable testing, specialized probes and testers are required.
