Reading the Meter

For AA, AAA, AAAA, C, D, and 9V batteries, read the upper scale.

For 1.5V button batteries, read the lower scale.

Red: Replace Battery
Yellow: Low Power - Replace Soon
Green: Good

If the needle does not move, ensure the battery is touching both contacts before assuming that it is completely dead.

Note: The battery tester is powered by the battery being tested. Keep test times as short as possible to avoid unnecessary battery drain. Battery shown in product photo not included.
